The National Tax Manager at Kuehne Nagel is responsible for overseeing the tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities for the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives
- Manage and coordinate all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of tax returns
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify areas for tax optimization
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax-related issues
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and government agencies on tax audits and inquiries
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to assess potential impact on the company
- Prepare and present tax-related reports and analysis to senior management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or Masters in Taxation preferred
- 5+ years of experience in tax management, preferably in a multinational company
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the logistics or transportation industry
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
- Previous experience with transfer pricing and tax planning strategies
- Certification in Tax Management or similar credential

Work Environment:
The National Tax Manager will work in a fast-paced office environment at the Kuehne Nagel corporate headquarters. The role may require occasional travel to other company locations or external meetings. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborates closely with finance, accounting, legal, and operations teams. The National Tax Manager must adhere to strict confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines in dealing with sensitive tax information.
