The Credit Control Executive role encompasses the critical responsibility of ensuring timely and accurate payment of accounts receivable for the organization. This position requires a disciplined and organized individual who can effectively communicate with clients to resolve any payment issues and maintain positive relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining and updating customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of account information.
2. Following up on overdue accounts through various communication channels, such as emails, phone calls, and letters, to initiate payment and resolve any disputes.
3. Negotiating payment agreements with customers, ensuring they are financially viable and mutually beneficial.
4. Collaborating with sales and accounting teams to ensure customer credit limits are adhered to and to provide credit assistance when necessary.
5. Preparing and issuing regular reports on accounts receivable, aging accounts, and cash collection for management review.
6. Implementing and maintaining credit control policies and procedures to optimize cash flow.
7. Liaising with legal counsel when necessary to recover overdue payments or handle collections disputes.

Qualifications and expectations:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role is required.
2. Proven ability to effectively communicate with customers and resolve payment issues.
3. Strong knowledge of credit control policies, procedures, and principles.
4. Excellent organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
7. A proactive, customer-focused attitude, with the ability to maintain professional relationships with customers.
