Inventory Manager

The Inventory Manager role encompasses a vital and complex variety of responsibilities within a dynamic supply chain environment. The primary objective is to ensure an effective, efficient, and profitable management of all inventory items, aligning them with the company's overall strategy and customer demand.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring and forecasting inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory, maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, and coordinating with various departments to manage the replenishment and disposal of inventory. This role requires a keen understanding of supply and demand patterns, as well as the ability to use inventory management software to analyze and interpret data.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement inventory control procedures, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards. They will also be responsible for conducting periodic inventories, resolving discrepancies, and preparing relevant reports for senior management.

Collaboration with procurement, storage, and shipping teams is essential to maintain a smooth workflow, while also ensuring the quality of the inventory. The Inventory Manager will also need to stay abreast of industry trends, market changes, and competitive intelligence to optimize inventory management strategies.

Qualifications for this role typically include a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with several years of experience in inventory management or a similar role. Proficiency in inventory management software, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills are essential. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and a Lean Six Sigma certification would be advantageous.
