The Procurement Executive role is a critical one within the organization, responsible for the effective and efficient management of the procurement process. The primary duty is to oversee the purchasing of goods and services required to support various business functions and operations.
Key responsibilities include identifying the organization's needs, researching potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations. You will be expected to manage supplier relationships, monitor product quality, and ensure timely deliveries to minimise operational disruptions.
The successful candidate should hold a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a similar role, is essential. Candidates with a Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (such as CPSM, SCPro, or CSCP) will be highly regarded.
Strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively liaise with various stakeholders within and outside the organization. A solid understanding of procurement best practices and trends is desirable.
The Procurement Executive is expected to contribute to cost savings initiatives, improve procurement processes, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. The role requires a high level of integrity, as the incumbent will be handling sensitive and confidential information.
